The Hobie is the gold standard for kayaks and while always pretty expensive right now they will cost the right arm and maybe part of a leg.

This PA 14 is still the best yak I’ve had.
At 13’ 8” L and 38” W it weighs in at 131 lbs rigged with poles and light tackle.
Add another 6 lbs for battery and fish finder when used. Definitely made for a stable ride and a trailer for transport.
I have been trying to find a way to incorporate it in on Rv camping trips. See below for rigged on top of my toad for maiden test run. Of course my wife’s 10 footer thrown in to complete the entourage.

It can be done but it’s hard to get that “Harley up on the high dive”!

Even used they still command a pretty high resell. I kept watching the used ones for a good deal before buying my Titan 12.

It’s the harbor freight bed extender for 2” hitch. I just turned it around to stick up instead of out. Had to drill 1/2 hole for the crossbar pin.

Sweet toad & boat! That combination should get you to some fantastic adventures. Enjoy.
