Default The correct way to store a large canoe at a dock?

I'm looking for ideas on how to store a large canoe at my dock at Clarks Hill Lake. I'd think it would need to be upside down to keep from filling with rain. Also, it will need to be secured to prevent theft.
Have any of you bought/fabricated something for this?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I don't know if this is the correct way. This is the rack I built to store mine. The FIL finds it a good place to store his extension cords and hoses. Ha

cable bike lock, around a board and a thwart. Yes hull up to keep the water out. Chain will work too, but the vinyl coated bike lock is just easier and cleaner.

If you have a large back porch or deck I would store it under it. Build a rack to slide it under porch. Thieves will get it if they want it no matter where or how you store it. Under porch or deck is out of sight so most people won’t know it’s even there.
