27458 - Yes, on the surface it seems excessive. What I wonder is, is it a "cry once buy once" deal, or are they simply overpriced. Is it a minn kota edge vs minn kota ultrex type of deal? I've watched a few videos on them, I'm curious as to how the motors do in moss and weeds. Reviews seem mixed.

I fish out of a Pelican Predator. I can put it in the back of Nissan truck by myself but I have to wrestle with it. I then bought a used jet ski trailer and this is what I tow it around with. I typically don't fish more than a couple of miles from the ramp. It's really stable and I would recommend to anyone looking to get on the water.

i'm greedy i have four boat and if i add up there total worth together maybe $2000. let me say last Christmas i bought a Tamarack 10 sit on kayak from wallywordld to replace the sit in kayak i gave to my son ,i'm in my 60's and getting in the sit in was a pain and i soon discovered the sit on wasn't much better as i like to move around when fishing and my old bones well . my other boat is a cheap 15.6 foot Pelican canoe that i build a wood bracket for a trolling motor and two outriggers from crap trap floats i love this boat because i can stand up in quiet water stretch my legs and fish . my third boat is a Field and Stream Angler 10 plastic pond boat same as the Sun Dolphin and Bass Pro pond boat , i really love this as i can put it into the bed of my pickup truck with the drawback it's heavy and bulky and one person loading can be tough especially when we get old . i run a 30 # thrust electric motor on the back and it scoots along and best thing i can stand probably even jump in it . the 14 foot is trailered so not what your looking for . to me if i could do it all over again i'd look at a Sportspal or Raddison canoe - both same company these thing are super light , stable and you can put a motor on them the drawback they are expensive and unless you live up north they have to ship them to you .

I have a 8' BassBaby (the one with wheels) and several kayaks and love them all. Each gets used based on where I'm going and the fishing style for that day. The BassBaby I've had for over 10 years and I remain tickled happy with it every time I use it. I have a foot controlled bow mount trolling motor so can sit in the middle of the boat and have both hands to focus on my numerous crappie rods that are usually deployed, but everything in the boat is within easy reach. The kayaks are usually used on streams/rivers, more for smallmouth, but will go after panfish if that is what's biting.

I've fished out of a Twin Troller several times and I own a 10' Raider as well as a small aluminum jon. There is no comparison other than the width. The Troller is a lot more boat and far superior in every way, IMO. That being said, manually loading the Raider in the back of a truck is a serious job and I wouldn't want to even attempt it with the Troller by myself. The aluminum jon boat would be a lot easier to load, but not as stable as the other two. P.S. I've pulled off all the handles on the Raider while pulling it up the bank and loading on the truck.
