What about ponds that do not have a ramp or where you may have to walk your rig to?

I'm trying to decide between a very small boat vs a kayak.
I never launch from a ramp hardly, maybe done that twice total. And the two ponds I fish I can pull up pretty close to the water, within 50 feet or so easily. If I had to drag it a long way I would definitely look into a wheel kit like Grainraiser has. I definitely wouldn't want to drag it far with the motor, trolling motor, battery and gear in it. If I did I would fab a bracket with wheels on it that could tote the boat in an upright position with the motor and gear in the boat to make one trip. I never used a Kayak so can't speak on it, but sure they are easier to maneuver on land.

Are you using a small trailer or does it sit in the bed of truck?

I'll go with a small trailer. Getting too old and fat to lift it into the bed of my F250 Super Duty! Besides, even if I took out the 5th wheel hitch I have a 45 gal. diesel tank in the bed.
Thinking of a small flatbed utility trailer...seen a few really tricked out on You Tube. I can walk on the bed, lift the nose up onto it, and just pull it out(on carpeted bed) to the front.
This roller bunks trailer is also a good idea.

I have a Field and Stream 10ft from Dicks. If I had to purchase it all over again and know what I know now, I'd bought the 10ft Pelican. The Field and Stream has a rod holder on both sides of the front but the direction they face is at a right angle, making it difficult to install a spider rig in them. Also Dicks people didn't know what they were doing. (Not their fault I don't think they get any training). The boat plug in the rear is missing and If anyone knows the size, I'd appreciate the info. Very difficult to measure in the location. It was not possible to get a Pelican in my area at the time, but now Bass Pro has dropped the Field and Stream and is switching to Pelican. I would definitely get a 10ft not the 8FT., mainly because of the weight capacity. I transport the boat on a flat bed trailer 5 x 10 I purchased on sale at Tractor Supply. Not only did I purchase on sale but they gave me 250.00 off because it got some miner scratches on the wheel fender from the time I gave them a deposit and I picked up the trailer. I have a smaller model Toyota pick up and the boat will not fit by and inch or two in width. Good luck with your boat,Pop

CThanks for all the info I been reading on the two man bass boats, I been doing a lot of thinking (which in my case could be a bad thing ) on getting one and I’m leaning more to the Pelican 10E.
I have a Tracker 175 TF but it’s getting harder for use to fish out of it because of some recent surgeries.

I know what you mean...I have the same boat. Not so much surgeries, but getting older and out of shape...round is a shape right?
I like the Twin Troller....but I can set up the Pelican 10E for about half the cost, give or take a little.

I had what they call the whipple procedure where they took out everything but just what I needed to live on and went from 318 pounds down to 174 and just starting to get my strength back. But the little lady loves to fish so I have to do something.

Size: 110.8 KBTook my Bass Hunter out for the first time yesterday..... I call it the Holy Boat. I bought it on Easter afternoon (which I should’ve done) and it had more holes than I could count and completely water logged. It weighs about 130 lbs and with my wife and I very stable and comfortable. Caught enough Bluegill for supper and didn’t leak a drop

I have a small Sun Dolphin 2 man boat, just got it this year. Have taken it out twice and it works great for smaller lakes. We have a few close by ( Kentucky) that do not allow a gas motor on the boat, not use but not even on the boat! So this works great for that. I thought I could carry it the back of my PU truck, and it fits...unloading wasn’t an issue but getting it back into the bed was almost impossible by my self, ( I’m old fart, 69 and a bad back). So I used my aluminum motorcycle trailer. That worked ok but most motorcycle and utility trailers have a short tongue and And I would get wet...just bought a used boat trailer yesterday, will modify it to work with my little boat...
when out on the water it worked great, howeve I would suggest an anchor, they move a lot with the wind, maybe some type of rear stabilizer rudder would work too...lots of UTube videos on these little, fun boats
