Default Looking for Waterproof/Water-Resistant Kayaking Pants - Recommendations?

Now that hunting season is over, I'm looking to do some early season crappie and bass fishing while the air temps are in the 30s and 40s here in southern Ohio. I love kayak fishing the best. I'm beginning my research on waterproof or water-resistant pants, and wondering if you all have some suggestions on what brands to consider and where to buy them. I plan to fish lakes/reservoirs with very mild wave action. I'm primarily looking for something that's adequate to take on some minor water from paddling and the occasional/inevitable wet seat. My plan is to be on the water for only 2 to 3 hours at a time. Thanks!

I usually wear layers. Base thermal layer then sweatpants and if needed put rain suit on over the clothes. Actual kayak wear or rain gear gets expensive. All of my clothes are quick drying and NO cotton. This has served me well and kept me warm many trips.

Breathable waders are about the best value. Dry pants are nice but expensive.

Waterproof and warm, or just waterproof?

I just got an Artic Armor suit a month ago and haven't been cold on the water since. Except my hands, they still get cold.

Go to Sierra Trading post web site. Check out ski and snowboarding pants. They have great deals at times on high dollar ski appeal.

Look at the fly fishermen wading cold trout streams. They’re all wearing breathable waders. I wear them when I’m float tubing. They keep me warm and dry.
