Hi All. I hope the below link works, but it shows a Seattle Sports Sherpak Boat Lift Assist that looks like a real good fit to help lift a kayak to a roof rack. Price is right, and the reviews I have read are very positive. Does anyone here have experience with this item that they could share? It even seems able to lift over a wing on many of the SUVs. The Item is carried by a number of vendors, including Cabelas.
Thanks,
Bob

I'm not sure the above will work. I'm not that good with the tech stuff!

I have no experience with it but I can see how that would help. I’m going to forward this to my buddy. Might be the answer to his wife loading her kayak on her vehicle. Thanks
Thanks, Dave. For $40.00 it looks like a decently made product. There is a demo video out there your friend can look at. Overall the reviews are good. Some complaints about curvature of the glass causing a problem and that certainly could be valid. Some of the others were probably poor glass cleaning (windex) I have an older Honda CR-V that doesn’t have a wing, and I already have the Honda crossbars and factory cradles. The issue has always been the lifting. I have a lot of water my kayak could open up.

I could see how the curvy glass could present a problem. $40 is worth trying I would think.
Yep. Not a lot of risk and I think it could be the answer! Look out Mr Pan, I’m coming for you! LOL

Following.
I’ve got a Jackson big rig and haul it on top of a lifted Jeep Wrangler. Kind of “injury to insult” set up. I usually hurt something trying to load
