I wear polyester clothes. I usually layer up. Sweat pants, under armour, performance shirts, etc... Nice thick water repellent jacket mainly polyester material. Wool socks and water boots. I have a balaclava I wear to keep face warm. In winter I prefer dark colors to absorb heat. Hope that helps.

I usually get a little wet from paddle, fish, etc but not soaked. Having polyester helps and then the rain water boots keeps my feet warm and I’m usually fine for the day. I’ve even had to take layers off from being to hot before.

Paddled with some guys that would wear thin wet suits when they kayaked in the winter.

Wet suits / dry suits I imagine would be ideal but they are expensive. I can always wear the clothes and then my rain suit on top of them if I'm going to get very wet.

We paddled Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Getting wet wasnt much of an option. Wind and waves made it happen. I would always put mine up for the winter when the water temp dropped to 60. A mile from shore was two far for me to want to paddle back after being dunked. A cold water dunking will make you gasp out of reflex a good paddle friendly life jacket that keeps your head out of the water is a good idea especially in cold water/ cold weather.
