Default Minn Kota Power Prop Series

I have a 15 1/2 foot "Scanoe," a flat bottom canoe with a transom for mounting an electric motor all the way up to a 4 hp gasoline motor. Right now, I am powering it with a Minn Kota Endura C2, 40 pound thrust electic motor.
the Minn Kota moves it faster that I can paddle it, but it still takes a little while to get anywhere far on the large hydro electric reservoir where I live and fish. So my fishing is pretty limited to short trips at best. It probably moves at about 1 1/2 to 2 mph. I was in Walmart today and I saw a Minn Kota Power Prop Series replacement propeller and was wondering if there would be any advantage to switching out the prop or if that is what I already have on the motor? The package says that it reduces drag which gives the motor more power and more speed. In case anyone is interested, the model number of the replacement prop is MGA0476B. Has anyone tried this replacement prop and did it speed up things on the water or was it about the same?

    Thanks

    GF

I had a 40 pound thrust on an 18 foot Stratos boat. Gps says 2.5 mph on high. It sounds like it aould be worth a shot.

Power prop is for more torque, not necessary more speed. The Kipawa would add more speed, but just slightly. Both more torque and speed will cause battery to drop sooner.
