    Default DIY Spider rig

I have a Field and Stream 10ft fishing pontoon boat purchased at Dicks. Trying to figure how to install a spider rig on the boat. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Pop

I believe DitchBasser spider rigs from a Kayak.

You need position it where you can easily grab the rods without having to lean way forward.

I’ve seen several nice setups. Some that just had the individual rod holders mounted along the sides but the coolest is one that utilized a bar running across the kayak and then the rods attached to that.

with this setup though it is on rails so you could slide it forward and back to adjust. How could it be positioned yet still be out of the way for paddling etc? I’m not sure, this is just an idea I saw. I’m sure something could be made instead of buying this one. It’s just the idea.

The first set of pictures on the above thread is a set of HiTec rod holders that I had mounted on one of my old kayaks. I am still using the same set-up and am on my 3rd kayak that I have used it on. I mount it on T tracks and it is easy and quick to take on and off.
