Paddl a many a mile in a pelican 10 foot 6 bought a pescador 13 foot. Didnt like it at all. I have 3 canoes now. I have 14 foot guide series that I use bow when I fish skinny water

I’m kind of leaning towards old town topwater PDL as my next but don’t know. Natives are nice as well.

Well, I'm 60 years old and have been fishing from a kayak for many years. My pro angler 12 is about 6 years old and rigged out with everything (rod racks, livescope, side imaging, down imaging). I have a 16 foot aluminum boat but usually always take the Hobie. Don't knock one until you've tried one. I've fished many big reservoirs Beaver Lake, Grenada Lake, Sardis Lake and I'm not talking about just in the creeks and backwater, but all over the lakes. They are an awesome fishing machine.

I follow a striper forum that is mostly folks who fish salt water in the northeast. Between the salt water and the ocean waves, their kayaks really get a pounding. I had been looking for a Hobie Pro Angler (used to have an Outback and wanted more storage) but after reading about the cracked hulls and lack of warranty support from Hobie, I decided to look elsewhere.

I think Old Town is the way I’ll go for a pedal kayak, if I even get one at all. Hobie has a 3 year warranty on their hull, for Old Town it’s lifetime. The Old Town drive was designed by Minn Kota engineers. I have a 16 foot stick steer Tracker that is like a 2 man kayak with tons of storage, iPilot, and will do 30 mph. And I have a light weight Bonafide kayak for quick evening trips and floating rivers.

Now that I have my native titan I’m really happy with it. I have called and ordered some accessories and had a question and the main guy even called me back and helped walk me through installation. Love that they are in my home state of NC. Native watercraft has teamed up with Bonafide as well so expecting even more and better from them in the future.
