    Default Kaboat

Does anyone else on here have one? I've had mine for awhile. Much more enjoyable than a kayak. I've got a fishfinder and a 2hp 24v trolling motor on it.

I removed the wood slat bench seats and added a swivel seat with pedestal as well. It's an inflatable but packs up real small. Seems to be quite durable. It's stable enough to stand up in.

I saw one for sale locally for $500 and included a 6hp Evinrude. Wish I would have picked it up. I have a 1648 for rivers/lakes at home but thought the Kaboat would be awesome to take down to the beach and use in the ocean early in the morning. I have a little 9.5 Evinrude I would have tried on it which probably would have made it scoot pretty good.

You ever tried an outboard on yours?

CVA the boat is quite durable, but I did make the mistake of dropping some white perch on the floor. That punctured the removable air floor with pinholes. Now I dont go slinging perch around in it anymore. Plus I added a piece of marine carpet over the air floor just in case. Riding around lakes, hitting rocks, and scooting it a little on the ramp has done no real damage to the hull. In a lake I think it will last for years.

And I bet those louisiana swamp worms have bred fast for you. For me, they breed faster than red wigglers.

Everyone else, i've not tried an outboard on it. My 2hp electric pushes it at 5hp. I think it rates out at 3hp max for my particular kaboat, which is a bris brand 12 footer. The saturn kaboats can handle higher HP outboards.

that is a cool looking boat , i have thought about getting an inflatable a few times , and there are some really nice varieties to choose from...but i was always afraid i would poke a hole in it , or my dog would tear a hole in it with his sharp claws....
