    thanks man! i'll come back with a few more since i am going for more crappies this summer. It's a challenge for them but I think I can find the pattern and get on them. if not.. this bridge is always waiting for me LOL

    you could make the board so it fits with out falling out on it's own, yet removable so you could remove it and take it with you when your done...Then no one's the wiser how you do it unless they come up on you when your fishing...

    What about a shower curtain rod? Then you could adjust the length.

    Was gonna try that too but it might be too long. i'll have to check the length, but i think it may work for some.

    Cheap aluminum bar clamp. Light weight and fast and removable....

    36 in. Aluminum Bar Clamp

    tie something to it that floats in case you drop it.

    or a telescoping handle of some sort with rubber chair leg caps from lowes or home depot. 20-40" here.

    Rubbermaid FGQ74500YL00 HYGEN 20" - 40" Yellow Quick-Connect Telescoping Handle


    if you wanted to go between pillars. I like a bar clamp better as is gives you some clamping force to hold.
