I made a floating mesh bag that I hang on the side. Have to pull them on kayak to move though. I usually just set them on back when I paddle.

May I make a suggestion? Take it out a few times to see how you want it rigged. Dave's way may not work for you, nor mine. Just kinda gotta see what you like. I know I've changed mine several times..just a thought

I use a playmate cooler if I am keeping panfish to eat. I release all bass.

Thanks guys. Yeah INDyak I’m probably gonna take it out at least a couple times and not even fish. Just to get used to it. So I’ll be thinking of things I need to do. I may fish a little just to get some ideas. I’ve never been in a kayak so this should be interesting. Lol

    Damion,
Keep the fish in a cooler especially if fishing the rock pits around Mooresville.....I would be afraid that a gator might see a stringer as a easy meal of fish and I would not want a gator on my stringer!

Dang. Hadn’t thought about that. I’m gonna already be paranoid about snakes and gators so I sure don’t want to invite them to come closer. That’s a scary thought.

Cooler with ice is how I stow my fish,I wore myself out trying to slow troll ( paddle ) with a basket hanging over the side, too much drag.
