Fast, but just not stable enough

    Wilderness Systems Ride 135

    Pros:

    Plenty of room

Stable enough to stand and fish

Slide trax allow me to outfit my boat depending on what I am fishing for without drilling holes all over.

    Cons:

At 13.5 feet at closing in on 85 pounds she is heavy and awkward.

    F & S Eagle Talon 12 ft.

Not really great or bad at anything. Good on average.
Fairly weighted at 68 lbs., but not light.
paddles and guides okay, but not fantastic
Pretty stable, but not one I would stand in

    The original seat hurt.

Wilderness Systems: 115x Angler and Tarpon 100

    115x Angler

Pros: * Very stable * A lot of room for legs and gear * SlideTrax System makes it very easy to add accessories like rod holders and have the ability to easily move them if desired* Seat is very comfortable and easy to adjust the reclining to where it feels best on my back * Self-Bailing Scupper Holes* Second hatch in front of seat makes it very easy to safely store extra gear within arms reach. I keep a dry bag down there with things like phone, camera, license etc.* Large enough to handle large bodies of water without issue*

Cons: My only real complaint is the weight. I have a lot of serious back/neck trouble and have trouble loading/unloading without help.

    Tarpon 100

Pros: While not as extensive as on the 115x the SlideTrax System on Tarpon is still more than enough for all my needs and is also a huge positive * Also has a very comfortable/adjustable seat * Has the same center hatch with same benefits as w/115x * Self-Bailing Scupper Holes * Much lighter weight than it's "big brother" 115x * While not as stable as the 115x it is remarkable stable for a smaller 10" lighter kayak * Still solid and stable enough that I feel safe when on larger bodies of water

Cons: While roomy for a 10' Kayak it is still a little more cramped for my legs with all the gear I like to take (I usually load a lot in with me)

Added general Pros for both. It may be a common thing on many others but one thing I like is the fixed type of bungee on the nose of each of these kayaks. It makes it super easy to slide one end of the paddle under it securely and not have to worry about a loose paddle moving or falling* They both also have a lot of fixed bungees that make securing things a breeze * Their handles are really nice * They both have plenty of added little storage spots built into the kayak which I have ended up using a lot for keeping tools handy and at the ready * I have been impressed with the quality of the construction on both of them * Both track and handle well.

Great idea, Schins! BTW, I just replied to your quote in the other thread regarding my kayak.

Ocean Kayak Trident 13: (Note: older model, maybe a 2013?)

    Pros:
    - STORAGE! Tons of room and internal access. Huge front hatch, and a large center hatch that allows on-water access to rods, etc that are stored inside. Great for keeping stuff inside/dry during rough conditions.
    - Transducer scupper: allows some transducers to be mounted flush in the scupper hole.
    - Stability, but maybe not enough for lots of standing
    - For its size, it was lighter that most in its class/size at the time
    - Pretty quick and reasonably maneuverable

    Cons:
    - Seat isn't amazing
    - Seat sits flat on the kayak and water will soak your tush
    - Did I say the seat?

Beavertail Stealth 2000 (is it a kayak?)

    Pros:

Very stable...i can and do walk all over it. Only times i have almost went in is when tripping over something on floor

    Price less than $1,000

Good seat that is easy to switch out with a variety of other regular boat seats to suit your preference. Can buy additional front seat with storage underneath

Can handle trolling motor or small gas motor

More room than other kayaks i know of

    Cons:

Paddling is not great period, paddling into wind will make you want to cry

Boat is heavy...maybe 150lbs. I ended up getting her a trailer this yearName: 0514171446.jpg
