    Default Night lights

When summer gets here I plan on night fishing. Is there a pre made light kit for underwater just for kayaks? Would the green LED strips placed on bottom be enough?

They market the Supernova green lights as an aid in attracting fish. I have the greens on the front of my yak and blue lights on the back. I haven't fished at night with them yet-it takes time for them to do their magic, so you would have to be tied up or anchored for that to happen.

Do they go below the waterline?

Not unless you mount them too low-they are to be above the water line but not high enough to blind you and mess with your night vision. They are partially for visibility for other vessels and the green light shines into the water. The green lights are quite bright though, as you can see.

I watched a video on youtube where the fellow built submersible green lights. I bought most of the parts from amazon and some from the local home improvement store. Had enough stuff that I built one for myself and one for my son. I run mine with two lawn mower batteries they weigh less than one car battery.

No need to drop the green light to the bottom. A couple of feet deep will get the job done as long as you locate a area that has baitfish before setting up for the nightstalk.
