Thread: Anyone fished in the F & S Shadow Caster

Thinking about getting the field and stream Shadow Caster kayak. Heavy but very stable from the reviews . anyone fished out of one. almost the same kayak as the feel free ride they have in the Decatur kayak store.

Yes, the shadow caster is my boat. I am 5'9" and about 280 lbs. I love mine. Very stable. Plenty of room. Has a strap included for standing assistance. I like the rear platform for coolers. The tri-hull design make it super easy handling boat wakes either fishing or paddling. It is heavy. A steep boat ramp gives me problems getting back in my Dodge. My GPS has me at 2.5 mph at steady paddling. Hope this helped.
