Default fiberglass John boat and securing a 8hp motor

I have a nice 14 ft fiber glass fishing boat and got a 8 hp outboard for it 55lbs...anyways, I took it out and it held up OK but I would like to solidify the mounting on the boat. it just seemed a little shaky for my tastes. Any recommendations?? I was considering using some wood and screwing through the fiberglass but not sure what to do??

If the 8hp has some thru bolt holes on the mounting ears, just mount it in the right spot, drill a hole thru the hull where the hole in the flange is, get some 3M 5200 to seal the bolt hole up after inserting the bolt thru and tighten it up.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
