Getting my first yak. A Jackson Big Rig with bass yak motor. What cart do y'all recommend? I'll mostly use boat ramps with the occasional pond.
And no, I don't want to build my own...

    I have this one.
The first time to use I aired the tires, one had a hole in the tube, couldn't use it, another $5 at Harbor Freight.
The second time to use I aired the tires to 20 lbs. One of the plastic rims broke.I can't get a reply for a replacement.

Look for one with metal rims.

This one http://www.cabelas.com/product/cabel...rch.cmd%3Fform. Have had mine for a long time since they first came out. Never had any problem They use bicycle tires which keeps the canoe or yak higher off the ground. Mine makes the canoe just about sit right at hand level when I stand straight. I can put a 15 foot canoe (centered) and move it with 2 fingers full loaded with decoys and such. It even goes pretty good in the snow.

Looks good to me but the reviews weren't very good.

    c-tug

Not cheap, but have pulled my yak through 1/2 mile of off road fire trails to back country area's with ease. Also had another yak strapped to mine & it worked.

DO NOT get the inflatable tires because they are a PIA to inflate. I had to buy extensions for the air nozzles that were 1/2 azzed. Do buy the hard plastic tires.

I guess y'all are not towing these on the highway? Been looking at Yaks and I figured a jet ski trailer would work. I would need to pull mine at highway speeds.

After much deliberation and research I went with the C-Tug. Although it looks funny all the reviews I saw were great. I hope internet reviews are reliable....
I'll update after I've used it a while.
    And thanks.

If you can put it on top of your vehicle or in the truck bed (with a bed extender) you will save yourself a lot of money. Trailers are expensive even if you DIY and you have to register a trailer.

Oddly enough, SC does not require registration or licensing of small trailers like boat and utility. Campers yes, but not these types. I don't have a truck, I drive an SUV so I would have to strap it to top and I figured if I had to take it off and out it on a trailer, why not just pull it to start with?
