I think I'm going to try the spray first, and if it comes loose I'll just try something else. I don't think my boat is glued under the rail, only rivets, but I think it was made by K&L

Don't know how that glue holds up to water but in the event it doesn't here is some marine grade carpet glue.

Like the boat alot for single person. Haven't tried it with 2 but I think with tackle and rods it might be cramped. Of course I'm 6'2" 200 and my normal partner is 6'3" and about 275 so I think we would be over the weight limit

I actually have a 1/2 can of this same glue as this is what I used in alum boat to glue the carpet to wood. Might try this if the spray doesn't work.

We had a nickname of Fatman and the Mexican(he was Hawaiian), we pushed those "weight limits" overboard. Man I miss that boat, best one on the market IMO, and I've been in a few. They are sweet little set-ups, I wasn't scared to take mine anywhere.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

Had the same problem until I made a PVC (CPVC) rod rack. It will easily keep 6-9 rods off the floor, and was made to knock-down for transport/storage.

Cool - I Like it! That's one of the few problems in the Hound, no built-in rod storage, and no easy way I could see to design something. Seems like wherever I set the rods down they slide, or fall.
What are the "mounting blocks" you have the poles pushed into?

Well the carpets all in. I think this 3M stuff should hold. I can tell you if you use this, make sure you have the carpet exactly where you want it before you let it touch the bottom. I laid my carpet on the floor and put some 10lb weights on half. I turned the other side over and sprayed the underside of carpet and boat floor. Let it dry about a min and then put the carpet back down. When it touched, it was stuck. You can't move it. After I smoothed it down I lifted the other side over. When I tried to lift the carpet where it was glued it actually pulled the backing off the carpet, letting it stuck to the boat floor. I think it will last quite a while

The blocks are 2"x4" (heavily coated with oil-based paint) which are mounted on nylon "feet". The horizontal brace isn't glued, just drilled and clipped so it can be knocked-down. The only part(s) that stays in-place are the blocks.

Gotcha - hard to tell those "blocks" are wood. I really don't have a spot to mount wood like that, but I was thinking of fabricating something to go into the 4 vertical "rod" holders. (one at each corner). You can see the front portside one in my last pic. Something like 1" PVC should fit just about right in there.

Here's my problem with the rods. When they lean against the angled section of the livewell they slide.

if I put the handles up on the front shelf they lay over the livewell lid an will not move closer to side of boat.

You could always mount PVC tubes on the backs of your swivel seats for rod holders, just be aware they're there when casting.
