Saddened to read this although I’m sure he had a great life. He was awfully kind to me. At melvern crappie dock I sat next to him for an hour without a single bite while he steadily brought in one after another. Finally I had to ask why was he doing so well. He showed me how he dropped his jigs then proceeded to turn the reel so slowly you couldn’t tell he was doing it. I’ve fished that way a lot ever since. Everywhere he fished the place would light up when he entered. RIP Chief.
