    Default Crappies in November?

Wanting to take the boat later this month to catch some craps! Thinking Kirwin or Glen Elder. Open to other lakes and is this a good time frame to target craps in KS.?

    Thx for any info!

We caught a pile of them last year the week of thanksgiving.

Its been different lately. Seems I can only catch 4-5 off each piece of brush then they shut down and you need to move. However the quality has been good.

I've been fishing kaw lake about 100 miles south of Wichita and doing good bouncing big baits and 1/4 oz heads off the rip rap on the north end of the lake. Fished Marion reservoir north of Wichita Monday but the crappie bite was slow. water temp was 57. Did find the cats in 15 fow though hitting on crappie jigs. You can call local bait shops in that area and get a better report.Name: image000000_06.jpg

The weirdness continues. We couldn't hardly buy a fish on brush. They were down there just couldn't get them to bite. We finally found a bunch of fish suspended along a bank. They were the hungriest of the day.

We got on them again today. If you pull up on the larger piles you would see the fish scatter. Some would then use the boat as cover. We did best on single laydowns in 10-13 fow. When cleaning them the fish were packed full of shad. Also insanely color specific white with blue flake. White with black flake wasnt close enough.Name: 20221122_121631.jpg

Last day for a couple days. Same pattern. Large piles just arent producing anything. Name: 20221123_091730.jpg

Pretty good morning. Another boat was in the spot we had been fishing so took us awhile to find a piece of brush holding good numbers.Name: 20221125_120113.jpg
