    Default Melvern 7-2

Fished Melvern Friday afternoon/evening and caught a few. Started off on brush in 20-25 feet of water but was only finding little ones. Moved up into brush piles in 17-20 feet of water and found the keepers. Fished on the shallower brush from 6:30 until 8:30 and put 13 keepers in the live well and threw probably at least that many back as they were too small. Biggest we kept was 15 and smallest we kept was right at 10. All caught on minnows with a crappie rig.
    Great evening on the water.

Thanks for the report. Plan on coming up this fall once the big boats get off for the year. For now sticking to the lakes with lots of timber, fishing early morning. Send us some pics if you have them.
