    Default On fire

Melvern on fire really nice fat slabs. Nothing deeper than 20 ft. Mostly on brush. using pink chartreuse skinny tail jig quarter oz jig.(pink body chartreuse tail) Vertical jigging. Caught over 100 fish each of the last two days. Only keep 24 for the grease all we need all we wanted to clean. The fun is in the Thump Funny thing that happened yesterday we hit the water late as we went to Pomona first did not get anything there so we packed you and went to Melvern. Got to Melvern searched around saw some boats off a bank that we knew. So we eased up and saw that where we knew brush was no one was on it. Located a pile spot locked I sent my jig down Thump fish on this went on for two three hours But only my jig my fishing partner fishing three feet or closer same tackle same everything could not buy a bite and I was catching them right and left . Fishing same depth could not figure it out he tried everything we could think of he caught two fish I caught a boat load. Went back today using same stuff and we both caught our fair share. The fish gods were just mad at him for some reason I guess.

totally agree...lots of shad...lots! Should have a good spawn this year, hoping the water will be right.
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN

At the request of her spiritual director, St. Faustina asked the Lord about the meaning of the rays in the image. She heard these words in reply:

The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him (299). By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls. It is to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works (742).

70 today....mid 30's Tue. Getting far enough now I think ice is not gonna happen this year. Thought about going back to Melvern but son is having Super Bowl party. Rest of the week is gonna be kinda tough. Seems like they will be going into their pre-spawn mode before long. Would like to get 1 or 2 more trips in before the winds start blowing.

Last time we were there we found shad and crappies in the deep waters in the big coves. February has always been my toughest month to catch crappies.
