Upper EL Dorado is excellent if you go during the spawn.

That is great for me. I have easy access to the upper end on N E corner of lake where branch of Walnut River runs in. Also feeder creek on East side of lake.

DRFISHDUCK knows his stuff... Eldo has good access all over the lake. Chelsea area ramp area and east side from north of Sailboat up just past corp ramp have some good walking access. You can long pole jig timber and/or cast. I guess you can still fish the rip rap on RR but it is a hike. Spring you can find them stacked up east side creeks if the timing is right. Plenty of spawn areas all over the lake.
Butler County as plenty of mostly small fish.

When the ice goes away you could hit the rock quarry at EL Dorado Lake. If you can get to the South side where the trees hang into the water it's deep rock ledges. I caught crappie etc. there last summer.
