Hey cmore, welcome to the sight. shortdraw said you had some questions but looks like he did a good job answering them. He wont post a fishing report lol but he will answer you so you have done better than me. Anyway come on out whenever you can this next weekend and do some crappie fishing with us. If you don't know your way around the lake very good we will show you around and mark a lake map for you where the fish should be this time of year. The bite has been really bad the last several weeks but should really start getting hot with the warm weather we have been having. If you don't have a boat we will throw you in with someone that has an empty seat. We serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning about or right before daylight and will have supper Friday and Saturday evening about dark. I will be out there early Friday morning fishing all day and will be checking into the cabins about 2 or 3 PM. If you have any questions or need my Cell number PM me and I will give it to you. I'm going back out Monday to scout some more and will ask some of the guys fishing the tournament how they did this weekend and post a report Tuesday. Again welcome to CDC

thanks for Welcome and the info. I know my way around the lake fairly well, just never caught many fish there. LOL Will you all launch at the Marina, Sailboat, or maybe Chelsea?
Also didnt know they had cabins or where they are. Hard to tell from the Webpage.
Dawn? I thought that was dish soap not a meeting time. LOL. A marked up map would be great. I have a boat but it is still in storage. I hope to get it out
this weekend if I get my chores all done.

The cabins are on blue stem point and most of us will probably put in at #1 or #2 ramp on blue stem point.

Received the CDC spring crappie camp shirts today with a banner to hang up. We will put it up in front of the cabin to help people know which ones we are in. See you all at camp.

They had a big crappie tournament at Eldorado Sunday with a lot of big fish weight in. I got there right after the tournament and fished for about 3 hours. Ended up with 9 fish 9" to 15". fish are suspend at about 8 to 10 feet deep in 15 FOW. Water temp was any where from 58 degrees at sailboat cove to 62 degrees on the north end of the lake. Fish are in a prespawn pattern and FAT. Caught all of mine on a 1/4 head with a 3" black and chartreuse slab slayer. If you want to catch some 2 LB crappie this is the lake to do it in. See ya all next weekend.
