I plan on fishing eldorado this weekend and will do a fishing report. I know about 6 to 8 people that are planning on being there fishn dave so don't give up on it. If weather holds out it should be some really good fishing that weekend with some really big crappie caught. See you all at camp.

Was in Wichita on business this last week, on the way home i drove into the state park to find my campsite. camp site 36 in the Sunflower Meadow 6 area. Drove up around the cabins. this is the first time I have seen any part of the lake other than from the turnpike. Looked Like a lot of fishy water. Ran or shine ( no Lightening) I am looking forward to conversation and time on the water. it's always fun to learn about another body of water. Guys thanks for setting this up.

Blue bird day, high pressure, high water, muddy and water temp. down to 48 about 1000 when I start. Saw a lot of fish in the 12 to 15 ft range but the bite was really slow. Will try to do another report next week closer to camp. Other than rain weather and temperature look good for this week.
Thanks Fishin Dave thanked you for this post

Anyone have any more info on this? First I've heard of it. Supply your own boat? Guides available? I've never had much luck at ELDO. Do I need to be there all 3 days or come and go OK?...I downloaded the flyer not much info on it. Im new to Crappie.com and would appreciate any help I can get.

Eldorado is known for its big crappie, walleye and wipers. It also has a great population of small mouth and Blue cats. We have several people that can show you around the lake if you are new to it. It is a hard bottom lake with lots of standing timber old submerged lakes, ponds and farms. It is fed by multiple creeks and the walnut river that are all really good during the spawn. There is also an old railroad bed that runs from the southeast corner of the dam to the upper northwest end of the lake.
Caution don't show up with 2 lb line unless you want a good fish to break it off on a stump or limb. The water from the dam to mid lake is fairly clear to stained to murky farther north and in the creeks. Family and friends are welcome and will have a great time. Make sure to mark the dates on your calendar and hope to see you there.
