    Default Minnow trap bait.

What is your favorite bait for minnow traps. Picked one op and going to give it a shot. I've heard of many baits (bread, dog food, tuna). Would like to hear some of your faves. Thanks. Going to hit Marion County tomorrow am early before the Demons come out.

Dry dog food last a long while, bread and crackers not so much, but most often the trap won't need to be in the water long.I have found that strips of raw bacon tied in a trap will attract crawdads in copious amounts,if you can bring yourself to spare a few pieces.

Tried bread for a couple of hours in a deadfall. Not a single minnow. Try again next trip in a different spot. Got called away back to work. Thanks guys.
