Thread: Hillsdale 12 - 16 Afternoon

After the good bite Monday Luck and Hairy wanted to go try our luck and since the weather man called for a high of 40 we picked friday afternoon. Weather man was a bit off. As we where driving to the lake Lucky asked me if we where insane, I said will see shortly. Normally the crappie go crazy on the front edge of these storms in the afternoon and that would be our tell. Once we got on the water that sharpe wind would not let us fish the first place we wanted to go so after looking around we found the fish in pockets of hard timber tucked out of the hard wind and proceeded to beat on them. One of the better days of fishing I have had at HD with basically non stop action for 4 hours. We had our 57 in short order and then proceeded to play catch and release for the next couple of hours. No one color stood out and 25ft of water was very good to us again. Water was a surprising 37.
