    Default Hillsdale 5-7 AM

Great morning at Hillsdale fishing for Crappie. Caught over 70 cleaned 20 and a bunch of bonus bass and walleye. All coming from 10 to 15 foot of water right on the bottom black and chartreuse was the best color.Name: 20160507_114449-1.jpg

So this is a new one for me. While fishing the other night I had a catfish hit my crappie jig. As I was bring him into the boat he came off and dropped straight down on my toe. His spine went through my shoe breaking off in my toe. Only a slight wound but could have been much worse. Who says fishing is dangerous!

Great report and glad you escaped with minor injuries......one of the most painful wounds I've had came from being stung by a catfish and my finger stayed numb for over a year!

They were scattered on the dam on Saturday--pulled cranks and had fun with some decent fighting sizes mixed in. Crappies too.

Ditto, mine was a bullhead. I grab the little ones with a glove for now on. They're slippery and squirmy. Not worth gettin' poked again.
