    Default Perry Report 9/19

Went to Perry not expecting much other than a tough bite. A mini cool front had just rolled through the night before, and forecast called for bluebird skies and a NE breeze. Majority of what I read on the net suggested staying home, but my stubbornness kept me pointed to the lake. Started out fishing piles with minimal success. Then moved on to strolling breaklines, and found more consistent quality bites. Repeated pattern in a few different areas with similar success. Finished with 31 keepers between a buddy and I. Lots of shad in the area, and crappies have started putting on the feed bad. Hope to see you guys out there!

No, I slow trolled 2 rods with 2 jigs per rod (1/8oz on top & 1/4oz on bottom) along breaklines. Once you find quality bites on a certain breakline depth, then just stick to that depth.

Encouraging report. We've got a little cool front coming through down here (LA) tomorrow. Been slow for me lately but I think I'll try some slow trolling on my home lake in the morning.

All the information that you fellas put out has helped me piece together my crappie puzzle. I just want to do the same for everyone. Plus, we're much better off if all of us are catching fishing.

Good report and pics.....you've just proved to me that I need to try more techniques than piles and standing timber.....I need to take a stroll!!
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
