I remember that DenOz. My dad had gone over to check trotlines, and came scrambling into my office... "you gotta come see this!" Of course I took off the afternoon and we went. Closest thing in Kansas I ever saw to a Niagra Falls experience.

Thanks for bringing up a great memory of a playing hooky fish day with my dad.

Heck no, WannaBe... just been up to myarse in alligators, lots of remodeling, etc, etc. Hope to get back to "normal" soon, whatever the heck normal is. This weekend's customer appreciation weekend. Lots of good fish stories and free hotdogs and lots of hot air around. Banner Creek has been pretty hot the last few days. Swing by and fish, have a hotdog, and bring a good fish story.

Slid by the outlet this afternoon, no less than thirty vehicles and probably twice as many fisher persons, looks like they knocked the outflow in the head and now is a trickle. Many fish being caught around 3 to 6 inches.

Yep, so many people that you needed a ticket to get in. Letting out more than a trickle. The river is backed up very high due to the Kaw being so high that it makes the outflow look low.

They are releasing 50,000 cfs from Toledo Bend. Makes for some rapids in the spillway!!
