    Default Milford 4-17-15 Bank

I can't figure the weatherman out...supposed to storm, so me and rambler decided to forget the boat and try it from the bank. Then we're out there and it's really nice, and saw KAG cruising by just fine. Well, we got on some but had to grind it out. We caught all keepers, no smalls, and threw all of em back. One here, one there, and then finally around sunset it got pretty steady. You can see the orange roadrunner and chartruse tube in some of the pics.

But the last fish got me back... On my "last cast" I got a bite, but missed. So on my "real last cast" in the same spot, got the bite again, and didn't miss. But the fish swam straight into the only brush pile around. Made me wade out to my knees to get her out. haha. Brad

More bass, less crappie today, but still fun.

Glad you got a few, just a miserable day to be on the water. Ended up just pulling maintenance on the boat today with oil, oil filter, lower unit, fuel filters, and tilt/trim fluid.......so I can be ready to fish....sometime....soon i hope

When you fish a Roadrunner under a float, do you just leave it sit or cast and retrieve? This question is coming from a bass fisherman trying to learn some crappie tactics. Thanks!

sir, very slow retrieve, they seem to like. Ultra-slow. I let it float for a few seconds, then very slowly give it a crank, that's when they pull it under. Good luck!

Great sunset tonight on Milford. Wind did not die down until late. Not many fish but a good few hours on the lake

Dave, it's going break loose soon for us I think. I'm going to follow Chatt's lead and try some unfamiliar spots ( to me) , maybe up north or on the west side. Just can't use the whole lake like you do with my 50 hp !
