    Default Melvern 10/7

Ouch, hit the water at 0730, fantastic morning. Tried fishing shallow at first since I read of some success with that on other lakes. No luck. Started searching piles. from 10 to 30 fow. No luck rain up into Ike cove. Hit the first pile first drop 11 inch fish game on. Sorry must have been a foul ball not anther bite. Tried various things in the cove fishing shallow with bober and jig. Tried deep piles shallow piles nothing lots of shad nothing biting. Ran up the lake tried out in Turkey creek cove nothing. Ran up the lake checking spots nothing. Finally decided was not our day and called it quits at around 1230.

I keep beating my head against this wall at Melvern oh well tomorrow is another day.

You have a good crappie lake 15 miles to your SE. Nice short drive.

Word was the Hillsdale was slow so we went back to Melvern on some news that one boaat caught a limit on the 7th. Will we fished hard and scoped some fish but only got a few shorts to bite along with some white bass. Only one keeper crappie all day. White bass were fun though.
