    Default State of the situation...

    Hello people...

How is everybody holding up with what is going on? Haven't had any reports of the virus in Allen County but in all of the counties that touch us they have the virus. Not for sure if they have shut down any of the lakes but today would of been a great day to be on the banks.

Might go the day before the next front comes through...have done a lot of mowing (2 farms and 3 residents) takes about 8 hrs (2 days). Need to work my sweet corn ground, starting to dry out. Haven't had the boat out since Jan.

This spring outa be excellent for crappies on the banks in most of our lakes.

My take...were gonna get the rain but not like it has been in the last 2 years. Resovoirs will be up but by the end of June I hope to be getting ready to chase down some 1st year shad and do some serious drifting for cats a couple of months. Hope to find some of those fat summer crappies in Augs. (they will be chasing shad just like every other fish).

Lets hear how everyone is holding up with the current state that were in....

    Default Boat is ready

I have had a vertigo issues since last Oct. Been to several doctors, cat scanded, x-rayed, and a MRI. Just about sold the boat. Finally got a Dr. that deals only with the dizziness. Started with deep massages on neck. That triggered a couple dry-heaving sessions, but located the problem. Got better after several therapy. Still doing the therapy, but able to resume a life. Now the virus! I will never be without life jacket on or by myself in the boat. Been hearing about some fantastic catches this spring,,,,can't wait to hook some slabs. <*)}}}><

Hello drifter. I was exposed to someone who found out they were unwittingly exposed to virus. Came out of 2 week self quarantined a few days ago. Just being cautious. Threw some lead downrange yesterday instead of hoisting slabs ; it was a bad choice as the bite has been on.
No one I know is sick ; thank the Lord ! Plenty of folks are and are in need of our prayers...

Sorry drifter "self quarantine" was incorrect use of term. Vigilant about not spreading would have been more appropriate...

glad to hear some responses...glad to see your doing better. maybe we will see you on the water soon...met you at crappie camp (camp was held at Toronto). The only way you might remember is I brought the fresh canned sweet corn....didn't last long if I remember. Met a lot of swell people at the camp. Trying to remember when it was....just a guess, approximately 15 years ago. Saw you one day over at Fall River....winter fishing. If I remember right, there were only 3 boats on the lake.

Nitro...hope illness stays away from you. Still plenty of time to get a line wet!!!

Happy Easter Chatt and Nitro!!! Stay healthy and safe!!!!

So far the state is keeping the lakes and restrooms open for boating. Have heard they having been running some people off the dams at a few lakes but I think it's because to many people are clustering up.
Got fishing fever yesterday and we caught over 20 with several 2 to 2.6 lbs. The females were suspended about 12' in 15' to 25 fow. Some fish were on the bank but the ones we caught shallow were males so moved back out deeper. Other than fishn fever all is well around here. Chatting the offer still stands if you need a second mate to go out with you. Water temp was around 58 to 60.
