    Default 14’ Deep V

I have the opportunity to buy a 2004 super guide V14 tracker but curious how a 14 foot deep V will handle Kansas lakes, mainly El Dorado and Marion.

For many years until 2011 I used a 12' deep V (1954 Alumacraft) with 5.5hp outboard ('56 Johnson). I never had any problems, always enjoyed a "quality outdoor experience", caught fish, and spent "quality time with my son. Usually at Clinton or Hillsdale.
However, if the wind was >10mph I limited myself to coves and protected areas.
    Hope this helps.
    I fish; therefore I am.

I have a Starcraft 140T which is a 20 inch transom and wide beam boat. It does real well but I always watch the forecast if going to larger lakes, as you should with any boating.
