Long story, but I have struggling getting my 998si and my 858DI to power up properly after installing ultrex and new battery. Humminbird customer service isn't doing anything about it unfortunately, except send me a link to buy new units.
I heard there may be a local buy around Lawrence that works on stuff like this, anyone have any ideas of someone local?

What battery do you have units hooked to? Installing Ultrex shouldn't affect how your units power up unless you have them hooked to trolling battery. What or where did you install new battery? More info on what they are doing when trying to power up.
Yep as Cray said we need info to help.
Give us the long story.

Rundown:
I installed the Ultrex, updated software in both units, installed Ethernet port and everything ran flawlessly all summer.
Recently went to lake, cranking battery was totally dead. Replaced cranking battery. Back to lake. Go to turn on console graph (998 si) and the screen wont go past the Humminbird logo screen. Then I try and turn on the trolling motor graph (858di) and it is stuck on the GPS screen.
Assumed it was a power issue, check voltage at new battery, fuse box, and at both power cords and it is 12.4 volts. Took both units to BP and had them try to power them from a different power source and same results on both graphs.
