    Default El Dorado

In Topeka and considering heading down to El Dorado next weekend to try for some walleyes with the wife. Have never been there and have no idea even where to launch from, any and all help appreciated. Not looking for anybody's secret spots or anything, just need a place to start. Probably will be trolling cranks, crawler harnesses, slow death rigs. Hopefully pick up some walleyes and some bonus crappies. Thanks in advance for any help.

Launch from marina with the high water... Any points on the main lake will be good due to high water. Might want to focus on 3-5 fow... Hope you knock them dead... Good luck..

I wouldn't let that bother you. There won't be that many boats (maybe 15ish ) and they won't be in the same area you will be fishing.

Caught 5 walleye, all 15"-16", no keepers. Caught a few drum, a wiper, a white bass or 2, and a couple white perch. Makes for a long day leaving Topeka at 4 am and getting home around 5 pm. Probably stayed longer than should have, but always hard to load up when you don't know the next chance you'll be able to get back out will be. Didn't get skunked and enjoyed the day with the wife on the water.
