A week on Table Rock would be heaven on earth. Especially with your Dad and Son. Good post.
Spent almost a week down there. I learned a lot about this type of lake. This lake is deep, clear, and high traffic. The lake is over 200ft deep is some areas and most of it being over 50ft deep or better. There is not much oxygen in this lake below about 35ft. So most of the fishing is confined to points about 35ft and above. Did find some crappie in timbered areas and there is quite a bit of it submerged, lost lots of jigs and hooks. The ones we found were in about 15 fow. But from what we could find out the crappie have spawned and are are now scattered. Did spend quite a bit of time exploring the lake and the various arms, which some are very long. There is a lot of traffic on this lake and keeping your head on a swivel is a must. We did catch quite a few bass using drop shot with crawlers. I saw almost no vegetation in this lake, no grass, moss, or lily pad. The ramp I used had no moss on it, thankfully because it was very steep and it would of been bad if it had. Its not uncommon to go from 20ft to 100ft or more in a boat length. By no means did I spend anywhere enough time on this lake to learn to fish it but it did help to learn more about fishing deep water and looking at a body of water in a different light.
Very nice homes home all up and down this lake with many built along the bluffs. Spent time with my dad just exploring the lake and then fishing it with my son Zack who is home from college for the summer....good times
Of course your mileage may vary on this lake.....

Good post. Enjoyed the read. Sounds like you guys had a good week together. Congrats.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Good job!! You are building fishing buddies for life with your boys!!!

Looks like you had a good fishing trip and caught some nice ones. Beautiful lake to go spend some time relaxing and fishing. I just got back from a week of bass fishing there a week or two ago. Typically make one or two trips down there a year. Definitely a different style of fishing than you typically find here in Kansas. It will teach you how to bass fish offshore in open water.
Looks like you fished around the 86 highway bridge area. Thumbs Up
Looks like you had a great time! I have never been on Table Rock but I did fish Taneycomo a couple years ago. We had a great time but wow was there a lot of people on that narrow lake! Keeps you on your toes for sure!
Thanks for the pictures!
