    Default Walk in Hunting

Any one that has hunted on it before has probably had this same problem. You start at one end of the field and someone else comes in the other side or even worse cuts you off half way through. Opening weekend this year we started on a piece that was half a section and had two trucks drive by our trucks. They drove down half way and got out started walking the other half. I understand public ground is public to everyone but does anyone have any respect anymore? Now what gets me is that every hunter I talk to agrees and says it irritates them as well. But I have yet to run into a hunter that says its okay to walk in on someone. Yet it never fails to happen everytime I hunt public. So I want to know if there is anyone out there that feels its okay to do this, and I want to know there logic. I have not gotten rained on but the safety issues are definatly there.

I have never cut in on anybody, but I have had people cut in on me several times. I don't mind if it is a big section and they stick to one side or follow a different draw than I am hunting. There have been other situations that really pizzed me off though. I have had other situations where somebody's actions interfered with what our party was trying to do. We were there first, and they just acted like selfish game-hogs. I almost never hunt on opening weekend, but I still have run-ins from time to time.

I wonder if a lot of the people doing this are the same ones that pull their boat up next to you and try to crowd in on you when you are fishing... Or maybe they are out-of-staters and that kind of behavior is normal where they are from.
I am just pullin' your leg.:D

I've hunted a lot around Glen Elder and those pieces out there are huge so its not a big deal to share them with someone. But when you have a plan to walk some stubble into some crp and they cut into the crp in front of you. Well that gets a little irritating, I'm not sure what people are thinking when they do it? You know you might be right about them being the same people, oh well I just had to rant about it to someone.
