I figured out the Whipping tool! Only took a zillion utub vids... and a bit of Brandy!

Good looking jig, like the red effects in the tail. Is that blood or a marker? I've donated blood to my jigs in the past.

Only advice is don't cut the tail feathers even like that. Other than that you did fine and that jig will catch fish. Your own your way.

Yeh you want to avoid a flat cut edge on your tails. feathers or hair looks better when it's the natural curve. Cur the end you are going to wrap.
