Just ordered some matched dyed guinea wings and a dyed guinea cape. Always fun to incorporate new materials into flies and jigs. Good luck with the hunt for materials. Sometimes we just have to pay up to get the results we want, eh?

Been tying fly patterns on jig heads since the 80's when I saw an article in the old Vermont Fishing magazine. Just remember to tie them hook up or they don't work as well!!

Bench Side reference can be found on the bay site. One of my favorites to tie is the renegade. 1/32nd on a size 10 gold hook.

Fatman, Those look excellent. Thank you for the heads up on Fleabay. Found a very good copy for a good price in Madison, Ill. That one will be here around the 22nd. So I'm done ordering till around the 1st of the month. then hoping this other place still has these flank feathers I'm looking at. I know there's lots of places that sell them, however I'm wanting more than a few, as most listings have...Again, Thank you for the heads up.

I've got quite a few mallard flank feathers on hand. I can send you a bag, you do the trimming though.

Thank you for the heads up on the book. I found a copy someone had in Madison, Ill. and is supposed to be here this Thursday. Price wasn't bad either.

Well Informed delivery says the first book I ordered will be here by Friday, while tracking on the second one says it hasn't left Madison, Ill. since 4hrs after I ordered it. I think they used an outside carrier, OSM I think. USPS only says it's been picked up and they are awaiting it. It could come straight here, or be turned over to USPS any where between...But, they say "It's on it's way"....
