what is the orientation of V-cut hackle feathers>

Hey, I'm a moron LOL, just started using hackle feathers cut into Vs, are they supposed to look like a V from the top or from the side when making a tail. I have tried both ways and they still don't look right, what am I doing wrong?

I like his jigs Takeum , very well built for a 1/16 head. I tie some tiny ones that have very little on them and deliver.

This jig had caught about 50 fish at the time of the pic. Tied on a 1/48 sickle it’s one of my favorites. Chartreuse or red thread collar does the job.

Absolutely Skeet,,, He just ties differently then others,,,no perfect way to do it when it comes to tying jigs,,
