Thought I’d post a followup of my bobber conquest. Its been a little over a month since I got serious. Excellency is in the details, and I still have a way to go.

    DockShottingJack,
When shooting bobbers, the solid fluorescent yellow makes sighting in the air and on the fly much better. I find I can judge the distance to target easier with high visibility.

We’d get along good Dan. No one shoots bobbers here, and I’ve e shown a few how I do it. I’ve been using shooting as an accuracy presentation method for over ten years. I aggravate some folks with it, but a few have picked up the torch and carry it well. It really isn’t for everyone. I like your work, looks very good. I painted crankbaits and the clear coat I used worked best when it was set up to drip any excess and flowed in a reasonably warm area. I did mine in the garage and I don’t remember any mishaps from the temperature. It’s nice when your work is rewarded with a good finished product. Have fun and keep us posted.
