tlefire, theirs 2 places here in Springfield, Mo. White River (fly tying shop) in Bass Pro, and a shop just down the street with a much larger selection called Plateau Fly Shop, which does online sales as well. You can also get squirrel tails at Jann's Netcraft bottom left of pg 113 in the 2022 catalog. I haven't gotten the most recent one yet. All three places you can order from the internet. Most any fly shop, either brick and mortar or online should have it. Hope this helped. Eric

ksnouf, that parachute is actually considered a wing, or belly. I honestly don't know, to tell you the truth. But it can't hurt non. I have watched videos of Kendall Fredrick down in Louisianna, single pole fishing the pads and grass with this style and catching good sized crappie with them. So, I'm giving them a whirl up here in Missouri.

Sometimes that’s just aging, Eric. Mine caught up with me in my 60s. Now I can’t read or do any close work without them.

Within the last couple of years I've gotten where I need glasses to read or view up close. I even bought a pair of glasses just to leave with my vise. I've heard it happens to almost everyone in their 40's.

Well then I shouldn't complain too much at 65, lol.

That wet picture really has a great profile Eric. I think the wings do the same for a jig or fly. I just started tying mouse flies and found when wet they have a better profile.

A couple of jigs I occasionally tie will look a total mess till they get wet, then you see the beauty in it. Thank you MCG1, Dave, Bob, Takum, Ksnouf, tlefire, Buckeye, tattoodrew, and Jack for all the kind words...
