That’s good. Try this to ward it off.

Sorry Paul, gotta be honest here(except for my fish catches, I usually am) = your love to configure/invent is "top-shelf"! Brings to mind Don King's promotional trademarks's in Muhammed Ali's career. Phrases like GREATEST OF ALL TIME, THRILLA IN MANILA, RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE are just a few that come to mind. Your club generosity could easily be tagged as PAUL'S HAUL TO BE MAULED, Y'ALL! New username worth considering = MICHELANGELO. Can't imagine how you're able to get by with only 3 hours of sleep a night!

You are far far too kind.

I wanted to share something. I had read that some folks refuse to use mare-a-boo feathers and will only work with fur/hair. I started reading and sure enough they said that there is a hair that acts like it is a mare-a-boo feather. Kind of pricy but sure enough…….it moves just like a mare-a-boo feather.

Next time you go to place an order, I can suggest you try some of this hair. Whispy thinit is. Slightest breeze and it flows like mare-a-boo. So a man that only uses hair, can achieve a level of action unknown to him.

I tied one jig with it and it was amazing. It compresses like mare-a-boo, and flows like mare-a-boo, and is user friendly.

Here the little guy is so you can get some idea of what a Finn Coon looks like.

Whoops…….that ain’t no Finn Coon. Here he is.

Now that racoon looks like he would be warm and toasty in a blizzard.

Anyways I still like mare-a-boo, but if I end up needing more durability I am going for coon.

    Stayed home again today.

Used some squirrel tail in a couple. I also tried deer belly hair. Painted some jigs and thinking a nap might be nice.

Great looking jigs. I like the iridescence. I got some possum strips from ksnouf, that is also very wispy and moves well. He has a huge variety of animal hairs to try at great prices.

That squirrel tail is interesting stuff. Thanks again. I’ll have to play with it somemore.

Looking forward to see how you max out the potential of that squirrel tail so I can borrow your techniques!

Some under fur from the Shep. She has some long hair. That undercoat is long and very wispy. I may have to play around with it. I have an endless supply

Yes you do. I have had shepherds so I know. Look around the base boards and there should be gobs of it. LOL

Home sick again today. Wife is sick, too. She coughs, then I cough, then she coughs. Well you get the idea. Sometimes I will get a cought that will awaken me at night. She can’t sleep period. Boss ain’t thrilled about any of this. I ain’t thrilled to have to cancel Thanksgiving at our home. I have thirty some pounds of thawed turkey in my fridge. All ready to go. All the herbs and spices and such. Everything to make sweet potato casserole. Deviled eggs. All of the things I am responsible to provide, all in place ready for me to spend the day in the kitchen tomorrow.

Called brother and informed him. Told him I would still cook everything and hand it off in some parking lot somewhere. He said he will have to do some thinking.

Wife said I could go because she thinks I am no longer contagious. I said no way. If she doesn’t get to go, then neither do I. Made her salmon filet for dinner last night and she wouldn’t touch it. One of her favorites, too. Now she is guzzling down that Robotussin stuff and taking pills supposed to shorten the duration. Cough drops. Sucks to be sick before a holiday.

Anyways, ever since I got the shed I have been busy. Almost everything in the garage is now in the shed. I already wish I had a bigger shed. LOL

It is wonderful hanging out in the garage now. No longer are there “things” absolutely everywhere, stacked atop one another, laying here and there all over the floor. No more stink of gasoline, or pesticides, etc.

I even moved my tackle collection from where it was in a bedroom, to now in the garage. I love it. Everything is setup on shelves that used to hold tubs of junk. Once I get the doors on the shelving units I can simply close the doors and my junk disappears like magic. Open the doors and do my thing, close the doors when I am done. This was an unforseen part of my plan. I wanted a studio, but now my studio will be like a roll top desk. Easy to hide the mess all of our benches become.

Three shelves that are eight feet long and two feet wide, plus storage underneath. That will easily swallow my entire tackle store. Still playing around with what goes where and such. I like containers and boxes for things. If I do not keep things in this manner things go missing. It is amazing at how fast stuff can simply disappear into some unseen realm.

Tied a few this morning ( cough woke me early ). I found some material I had gotten off Amazon two years ago and couldn’t figure out how to use it. Synthetic wavy fibres. I got like 20 colors in plastic bags. Well I decided try it or chuck it.

I mixed the fibers into some Artic Fox Tail fur to add some color to the white. I added some to some other synthetic stuff I also found squirreled away. It does ok I guess. Still experimenting with tails you see. I also made some other jigs.

I am considering making a holiday meal for just she and I. All the trimmings and such. I will see what she thinks. Then probably tie some more jigs. LOL
Maybe they will bite this one……
