Making progress. Learning as I go.
Here are some I made this morning.

Viewing this shot, you get a taste of how the Finn Coon lays and you can imagine how it flows in any breeze. It is by far my favorite material. There might be something out there that is nicer, but this here is good enough for me. I run a dog brush, with the little stiff wires, over the fur a few times, and then trim off the zonker what I anticipate needing. I allow myself to let the tail run long for some reason. I doubt it would scare a fish.
These all have some synthetic fibers in their tail.

The synthetic stuff I found buried in my junk is kind of interesting. I thought it might be a type of dubbing, but more like tail material. Cutting it leaves fibers everywhere. I am using micro fiber dish towels on my bench to catch and collect loosies. Does a great job of it, too. Every so often a quick shake outside and back in business. Of course the UV flashlight reveals so much more I didn’t notice. LOL
Well I heard that my family’s plans have gone full on due South ever since word hit about the flu being at my dump. I feel horrible about that. I watch the woman roaming around like a wounded zombie and I feel badly about making her sick. So I decided that I will at least try to save some semblance of a holiday feast, and make everything myself. Big meal just for us two. I will cook both turkeys, one in oven, one on smoker. Mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, rolls and real gravy from pan drippins.
Of course I plan to down size the sides, but have no choice on the turkey. I can vacuum seal it and freeze it and use it for her lunch meat. Deli turkey is $10 a pound, and I will likely get $200 worth. LOL
She eats turkey straight out of the package, and mine will taste so much better. ;)
I thought it was nice that she offered to let me go be with family as I am likely no longer contagious. I couldn’t do that, so this is my next best plan. She I and Dog.
