I think most either dip in water or use the heat shrink tubing.
What are some of the ways you folks protect your swivels while powder coating to keep paint off them? Talking about 1/16 and 1/8 0z Roadrunner type jig heads. Thanks

I use tin foil just because we always have some and I can't ever remember to get any shrink tubing. I've never used the shrink tubing but I would like to try it.

I just use tin foil
Found some small diameter fuel line that fits snug on the barrel of the swivel.Going to give that a try. Thanks for the replies.

1/8” heat shrink tubing on eBay,,,I like it slightly larger so when it melts it does stick too much like the smaller stuff,,,get 20’ rolls for like $9.99…just cut them up into little pieces long enough to cover swivel
Cool! If the fuel line doesn't work I'll try the 1/8 inch heat shrink. Smallest I found today was 1/4.

I noticed that the company that sells the name brand doesn’t seem to much care about the issue. I have always doubted how much blade spin they offer anyways. Figured it is more swagger than twirl. They came out with a Beetle Spin lure and that produces spin.
Amazon sells coils of small diameter heat shrink tubing. Some say black is best, but white seems to be better for me. It can be tricky to extract the melted tubing. I have never tried the water method but some say it is the best solution. I suggest trying that before you try shrink wrap.
Maybe they will bite this one……GrumpyLoomis LIKED above post
I use heat shrink or I use small alligator clips. clips work great but need cleaned off periodically if you dip too deep.
I use foil and have tried a few other ways, but I always go back to the foil for one reason or another!
