Yea,,fire and captain Andy dont get along so well…my wife thought I was cooking chicken just the other night ,and it was just me reaching above my torch I left on as it cooked the underside of my arm,,,I shortly went back to using my electric heat gun,,, the noise warns me of roasting chickens

I use a heat gun, didn’t get along with a torch or candle. After adjusting the timing for the particular head size while holding it in a pair of bent tip needle nose pliers to keep the powder out of the eye, I dip til I’m happy with the results, then reheat til the paint glazes over and can’t be bumped off from a clumsy operator and hang it before it goes in the oven for 20 minutes at 325*. May not be the best for all colors or paint manufacturers but has had some pretty consistent results for the little painting I do these days. Not to mention the heat gun has lots of other uses like shrink wrap and so on.

Yep, that dern torch does not care what it's heating. And it's fast too.
