    Default Skeeter of Death

Yard cutting is on rain delay so I threw this together. It's a straight #2 sickle hook with a 1/32 wt.Name: PXL_20220521_153257630.jpg

Been trying to get a little more shallow action near the surface.

This might tempt them with its slow fall.

Should look like a small minnow when wet.

    Thanks.

I've got some others that are made in weights of 1/32 - 1/16 and on different hooks. Streamer hooks, jig hooks, and straight hooks have been 'attempted'.
Some use barbell eyes while others get this treatment with a small curved weight tied on the base thread.
The final result is pending.....have only caught 1 fish on these so far but have not used them much. Usually keep one tied on an 11' ACC rod for when fish are up close to the surface and a loud splash spooks them.
They're pretty much a variation on the 'crappie candy' and 'clouser minnow' type of ties.
