Looks good.
Griddle atop grill. She likes salad. Couldn’t be easier to make and tastes great. I sprinkled Adobo seasoning on meat. Used salad dressing below the chicken. I also griddle steak to top salad.

Good looking eats. Glad the hear the dog is doing well. The Bulldog is behind my legs on the couch snoring loudly and happily. I have eaten gator a few times. I prefer it fried also. Hope the job in the office is going well for ya. I ain't much for the heat these days either.

Job is great. I have been given carte blanche with the mini storage facility. Not a full time gig, so once I am self sufficient in managing that, I will start managing the BBQ catering business, too. Then I can drop off Mondays and work four days a week. This weekend holiday is the first time I will have had Memorial Day off.
Not sure what ha-pened, but my lower back hurts. I have been using a Tens muscle shocker. Alleve helps some, I guess. Hoping it goes away soon. Happened to me about seven years ago and went away, so……

I get it from time to time. Alieve surely helps. I do best when I get up and get moving to get it worked out. Otherwise it hangs on for a while.

One of my all time favorite sandwiches is the BLT, and it all starts with the BACON.
That little grill with the cast iron griddle on top makes the best bacon. No press required.
Use fresh flavorful tomatoes. Toast your hamburger bun, add mayo, slice of cheese and some lettuce and BAM. The perfect summer time sandwich.
Two of these and you are good to go until dinner time. In fact, a man could grow rather large eating these all the time. Ummmmmmm……
And finally watermelon is under $10 each. I live very near the fields and yet the roadside stands are outrageous. I have hopped the fence before but that was when I was a younger man and didn’t care if they shot. Soon a gluttony of melons will be upon us, but it will not last long.
Watermelons are a cash crop. The farmers MUST plant at the exact right time or else he can’t sell his crop. There is an industry ready to transport melons from field to distributors. Starts in South Florida and then progresses up the coast as the melons a little more Northerly become ripe. Miss that wave as it passes through, and those folks are gone, and there is nothing a farmer can do. Well except turn the cows out and let them eat melon. I have seen herds eating melons in the field and they looked like happy cows to me.
I asked one of the largest growers in North Florida why we don’t see the old melons. Those elongted melons with the seeds. She told me it was because the yankees what live in apartments couldn’t fit them inside their refrigerators. That it was too hard to carry them from store to home, so they stopped buying them, and so the farmers changed . Now everyone grows the round seedless variety, even though I feel it lacks the flavor of the old melons.
I like to skin my melons and slice them into bite size sections, put them in a covered bowl and refrigerate them. I also add in some cantelope pieces so that when I go to reach in the bowl, I get something good. Cantelopes are also ready now in my area. A little salt in the mix and man are they good.
When I was just a wee lad, my mother would buy melons when on sale, and she would cut them into pieces. Then she would chunk up the rinds and pickle them in Mason jars. My father would serve them to friends, and after they had eaten some, he would call for us kids to come over. Then he would say that the kids did the hard part eating the melon off the rinds. LOL
A long time ago some brick masons were working in the hot Sun. They had been drinking vodka while they worked. Then they took a lunch break and ate watermelon. I seem to remember that three died, and several others were rushed by ambulance. Something about being severely dehydrated, then suddenly over hydrated.
The Chinese grow watermelons, too. They go out in the fields and find the young melons, and put them over top of plastic boxes. Then as the melon matures it fills the box and takes on that square shape. This makes stacking them in coolers much easier. No I am not kidding you. Seriously.
Don’t worry. Soon you will have cheap melons in your area, too.

Don’t want to get kicked out of this section, so I am posting up some of the stuff I have been making lately. Just variations on things I have already been making.
Haven’t had much chance to go fishing, but soon I will and then I will be testing these out. I think we are in a full Summer pattern now, which means I can start making larger jigs again. I have deployed some crank baits into the mix as well. I want to pick up some of the larger fish. Although I did have a little baby bite a crank bait last trip, and he was a game fish as the bait was nearly as large as he was.
